It is hard to believe that we are already on the 49th match of the IPL 2022 and that the tournament will be finished in around three weeks. We have had plenty of entertainment in this year's Indian Premier League, and the entertainment levels are only going to increase tenfold now that we are coming to the business end of the competition. This is one of the closest editions ever, as there are still nine teams battling it out for a Play-Off spot. The 49th match of the tournament is between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Chennai Super Kings, and this is our prediction of who will win the game.

Royal Challengers Bangalore Team Preview

The Royal Challengers Bangalore have lost three of their last five matches, but they are still in contention for a spot in the Play-Offs thanks to the 10 points that they have gathered from the nine matches that they have played. They currently sit in 5th place, level on points with the Sunrisers Hyderabad in 4th, but they have an inferior Net Run Rate which they will be eager to improve in their remaining group matches.

Their last match of the competition was against the Gujurat Titans, who are sitting pretty at the top of the table in their first IPL campaign. The RCB won the toss and decided to go against the grain and opted to bat first, and they managed to put a score of 170 on the board, which was probably par for the wicket that they were playing on.

Virat Kohli, to the delight of himself and his fans, finally found some form and top-scored for his team with 58 from 53 balls - this was probably slower than he would have liked, but at least he scored some runs again. Rajat Patidar, in just his second game of the competition, scored 52 from 32 balls, while Glenn Maxwell chipped in with 33 from 18 balls.

Football is the most popular sport in the world when it comes to betting, but it is fair to say that online cricket betting is not that far behind. Cricket betting has become so popular thanks to the fact that there are so many different markets that cricket bettors can choose from, which means that you are never short of entertainment. In our opinion, one of the top markets that us cricket fans can put our money on is the Top Batsman, and it is one of those markets that you should try every now and then since the odds are always enticing.

So, when it comes to the RCB, who do we think will top score against the CSK? Well, we know that it was only one innings, but we think that Kohli's half-century against the GT will have given him plenty of confidence and we think he will bat well in this next match too. Therefore, we would recommend that you put your money on Kohli to be the top batsman for the RCB.

With 170 runs on the board, the RCB bowling attack would have been confident of defending it, but they fell just short. Shabaz Ahmed was the pick of their bowlers, picking up 2 wickets for 26 from the 3 overs that he bowled, while Wanindu Hasaranga collected 2 wickets for 28 from his 4 overs. Josh Hazlewood, who is usually so reliable and miserly, gave away 36 runs from 3.3 overs. At the halfway stage of the GT innings, they were 78/3, so the RCB would have been confident of a win, but some brilliant batting from David Miller and Rahul Tewatia saw their side home with 3 balls to spare.

If you are considering doing some IPL betting on the top bowler for the RCB, then who would we suggest you put your hard-earned money on? Well, we think that Hasaranga is one of the best spin bowlers in the world at the moment, and he has been bowling very well throughout the tournament. He has 15 wickets from 10 matches at an average of 18.20. So, putting your money on him is a good shout.

What about any changes to the RCB playing XI for this match? Well, despite the defeat, they did not play too badly and could easily have won the match, so we would not be too surprised to see the same 11 players take to the field against the CSK.

Chennai Super Kings Team Preview

The Chennai Super Kings have not had the 2022 IPL that they would have hoped for, having won just three of their nine matches so far. However, despite this poor form, they are still, somehow, in contention for a Play-Off spot. They are currently in 9th spot, but they are just four points adrift of the SRH in 4th place. If they manage to get another win here, then they are right back in it.

Their last match was against the SRH, and many did not give the CSK a chance of winning this match since Kane Williamson's men have been playing some great cricket lately. The SRH won the toss and opted to field first, so it was up to CSK to put a score on the board, and this is exactly what they did. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway put on 182 runs for the first wicket, with the former scoring 99 from 57, and the latter finishing on 85* from 55 balls. Once their 20 overs had been bowled, they had a very good score of 202 on the board.

If you are going to be betting on the best batsman for the CSK at IPL betting sites, then who should you put your money on in our opinion? Well, Conway was only playing his second match of the campaign, and we really liked the look of him, so we would be tempted to put our money on him to be the top scorer for the CSK against the RCB.

With 202 runs to defend, the CSK bowlers knew that they would only lose this game if they bowled very poorly. Although they won the game by 13 runs in the end, the majority of the bowlers will not be happy with their efforts. Mukesh Choudhary was the pick of the bowlers, collecting 4 wickets from 4 overs, but he also conceded 46 runs in the process. Mitchell Santner was also expensive, going for 36 runs from just 3 overs, while Dwaine Pretorius conceded 40 off his 4 overs. Ravi Jadeja bowled well though, conceding just 15 runs from his 3 overs.

If you would like to place an IPL prediction on the top bowler for the CSK against the RCB, then who would we recommend you put your cash on? Well, Choudhary causes batsmen plenty of issues, so we suggest you consider putting your money on him - he is a little expensive, but as long as he picks up wickets, you will win the wager.

Do we think that they will make any changes to their playing XI for this match? Well, in their last game, Dwayne Bravo missed out because of an injury, while Shivam Dube was dropped. If Bravo is fit, then we think he will be added back to the playing XI, and Simarjeet Singh will probably miss out.

Toss Prediction

At the beginning of this great competition, the coin toss to decide who bats and bowls first was having a big say in the winner of the game. The reason for this was because the side that fielding first had a big advantage since they avoided having to bowl in dewy conditions. However, at this point in the competition, things have definitely evened out a little, with dew not being as big of a problem. For instance, out of the last 10 games, five have been won by the team that won the toss and five have been won by the team that lost the toss.

However, despite the fact that dew seems to not be as much of an issue nowadays, it still seems that the captains are not that eager to put their side into bat first and put a total on the board. You cannot really blame them to be honest since they are probably still cautious about dew being an issue. Therefore, our toss prediction for this match is that the winning captain at the toss will decide to field first.

Pitch Conditions

This match will take place at the MCA Stadium in Pune, and this is a venue where the average score batting first in this year's IPL has been 173 runs. The team batting first at this stadium throughout the IPL has won 67% of the time, so it would not be surprising if the winning captain at the coin toss decided to bat first instead of bowl. The team that is batting first in this match will be aiming for a score of around 190, since the average winning score at this ground when batting first has been 180 runs.

Our RCB vs CSK Betting Tips

Lately there has been a number of matches that have been hard to call, and this has been indicated by the odds that the top bookies have been giving. This match today is not an easy one to call, and many other prediction websites will probably opt to sit on the fence. However, this is not what we do, which is why we are going to tell you that the team we predict will win is the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Why is this our match prediction today? Well, although the RCB have lost their last three matches, we believe that they have a better batting and bowling unit than the CSK, which should help them claim another two points.
