They would have been hoping to kick on from here, but they then lost by 14 runs to the Gujurat Titans.

In this last match, the DC won the coin toss and opted to field first. They got off to a great start when Matthew Wade nicked off with just three balls bowled, but a brilliant 84 from 46 by Shubman Gill ensured that the GT made it to a respectable total of 171. The pick of the bowlers for the DC was Mustafizur Rahman, who picked up 3 wickets for 23 runs from the 4 overs that he bowled. Khaleel Ahmed chipped in 2 wickets for 34 runs from the 4 overs that he bowled.

He has not contributed with the bat either, although he has only batted once. In such a competitive competition, you cannot afford to carry a player and hope that they come good, so we think he might be taken out of the firing line. Maybe they will consider replacing him with a bowler. Also, David Warner is now with the squad after Australia’s test series against Pakistan came to an end, and it is likely that he will replace Tim Seifert at the top of the order.
