We have now passed the halfway stage of the competition, and there are still nine teams that will feel that they are in contention for a Play-Off spot. The IPL 2022 has been a very entertaining competition, and it is sad to think that in about a month's time, it will be coming to an end. The 37th match of the Indian Premier League is between the Lucknow Super Giants and the Mumbai Indians, and below is our prediction of who will win the game.

Lucknow Super Giants Team Preview

The Lucknow Super Giants are sitting in fourth spot in the table with four wins from the seven games that they have played. They are one of three teams on eight points, and they sit above the Sunrisers Hyderabad thanks to their superior Net Run Rate.

In their last match, the LSG took on the Royal Challengers Bangalore, and lost the game by 18 runs. The LSG won the toss and opted to bowl first so that they would avoid having to bowl in dewy conditions. They got off to the perfect start by reducing the RCB to 62/4, but they found Faf du Plessis in top form, and his 96 from 64 balls helped the RCB to a very decent total of 181/6.

The pick of the bowlers for the LSG was Jason Holder, who conceded just 25 runs from his four overs, while Dushmantha Chameera also bowled really well, collecting 2 wickets for 31 runs from the three overs that he bowled. Ravi Bishnoi was pretty expensive though, going for 47 from four overs, giving him an economy of 11.75 per over.

One of the reasons why online cricket betting has become so popular among sports bettors, even those who are not big cricket fans, is the fact that there are so many different markets that you can place your hard-earned money on. There is one particular market that we love betting on, and this is the Top Bowler one. Why do we love this one? Well, it is because the odds are always very good since it is not an easy king of wager to get right. So, if you manage to get the Top Bowler right, you will always make a love profit.

So, who do we think will be the best bowler for the LSG against the MI? Well, once again, like we did in their last game, we would recommend that you put your money on Holder to be their top scorer. We think that he is a class act, and even the top batsmen have trouble with him because of his height. So, yeah, if you are betting on such a market, put your money on Holder.

With 181 runs on the board, the LSG would have been quietly confident of being able to chase it down, but they ended up finishing 18 runs short. Their batsmen really could not get to grips with Josh Hazelwood, who collected four of their wickets for 25 runs from the four overs that he bowled. Their top batsman was Krunal Pandya, who scored 42 from 28, while KL Rahul chipped in with 30 from 24. Other than that, there really was not an awful lot else to write home about.

When you are doing a little bit of IPL betting, there is one particular market that you should try your luck on every so often, and that is the Top Batsman one. If you have been paying close attention to our predictions, you will see that we do pretty well when it comes to selecting the top batsman for a side. We have been less good at predicting the winner of each match, but the odds for Top Batsman are much better anyway. So, who do we suggest you put your money on for the LSG against the MI?

Well, we would have to recommend that you go for Rahul, as the captain has scored 265 runs in seven games at an average of 44.17. He has carried on his rich form from the 2021 edition, where he scored 626 runs, and is always a good bet for the Top Batsman market.

Do we think that the LSG will make any changes to their playing XI? Well, Marcus Stoinis has played three games so far and has not done an awful lot - he has scored 72 runs and has a bowling average of 27 from the three overs that he has bowled. Thus, we think that there is a chance that he will be dropped for this match and could be replaced by the likes of Krishnappa Gowtham.

Mumbai Indians Team Preview

The Mumbai Indians entered this tournament as one of the favourites and to say that they have been disappointing is probably one of the biggest understatements ever uttered in the sporting world. They have played seven matches and have lost them all - they sit at the bottom of the table with 0 points and a very bad NRR, meaning that their chances of reaching this year's Play-Offs are all but over.

Their last match was against the Chennai Super Kings, and they went on to lose it in the last over by three wickets. The CSK won the toss and decided to field first, so the MI knew that they would have to put a big total on the board if they wanted to get their first win of the campaign. However, they found themselves 2/2 after both Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan fell for ducks, and this soon became 85/5 with nearly 14 overs bowled.

The fact that the MI managed to put somewhat of a competitive total on the board was thanks to Tilak Varma, who scored 51 from 43 balls, while Jaydev Unadkat chipped in with a quickfire 19 towards the end. There have been too many batsmen underperforming for the MI since the start of this competition, and this was the case once again.

All IPL betting sites will give you the option of betting on the player that you think will score the most runs for their team on their day, and if you want to make such a wager on this match for the MI, then we recommend you put your cash on Suryakumar Yadav. We recommend him because he has scored 232 runs in five matches at an average of 58.00 and has been their most consistent batsman by a mile.

With just 155 on the board, the MI knew that their bowlers would have to step up to the plate, and one that did this was Daniel Sams - he picked up 4 wickets for 30 from the four overs that he bowled and did not deserve to be on the losing team. Riley Meredith also bowled well, conceding just 6.25 runs an over, while Hrithik Shokeen conceded just 5.75 runs an over from the 4 that he bowled. Unadkat bowled the last over of the match, and had 16 runs to defend with 5 balls remaining, but MS Dhoni smashed him about to claim the two points for his team.

If you are going to make an IPL prediction for the Top Bowler for the MI against the LSG, then who would we recommend you put your money on? Well, we were really impressed with the way that Sams bowled, and we would be more than happy to back him to finish at their top bowler once again.

With the MI make any changes to their playing XI> Well, they will probably be considering changing a number of them because quite a number of them have been performing really badly as of late. However, we reckon that in the end they will just stick with the same XI players that have put them in the mess that they find themselves in. Their hopes of a Play-Off spot are probably gone, but they have plenty of pride to play for.

Toss Prediction

The coin toss throughout the 2022 IPL has played a big part in most of the games as it allows the winning captain to avoid having to bowl when there is dew about. When a captain wins a toss, you can almost guarantee that he is going to put his opponents into bat first so that they have to bowl second when the conditions are wet, and the ball is hard to grip. Making a toss prediction has become pretty easy because, more often than not, the winning captain has opted to field first, and we see this trend continuing.

Pitch Conditions

This match will be played at the Wankhede Stadium, which is a venue that has an average first inning score of 158 in the 2022 IPL. The average first innings winning score at this stadium has been 177, so the team batting first will look to put around 180 on the board to give themselves a really good chance of winning. The team that has been chasing at the Wankhede Stadium has won 67% of the time, which is another reason why you can guarantee that the captain that wins the toss will opt to field first.

Our RCB vs SRH Betting Tips

Who do we predict will win this match? Well, this is a game between a team that has some type of form and a team that seems to have forgotten just how to win a game of cricket. Therefore, with this match prediction today, we are going to predict that the LSG will get another two vital points in this match today, while the MI will make it eight defeats in a row. The LSG have inform batsman and bowlers, and this is something that should see them over the line against the MI.
