The Royal Challengers Bangalore got their second consecutive win against the Lucknow Super Giants in Match 31 on Tuesday. Their stunning team performance netted them a win by 18 runs and both the batters and bowlers showed up.

Skipper Faf du Plessis was awarded Man of the Match for his fantastic hitting. He was four runs short of a century, something that Plessis said he was ‘gutted’ about being so close. His performance certainly offset Virat Kohli’s duck. Plessis scored 96 runs from 64 balls for a strike rate of 150.00. He currently is in third place for most runs (250) this IPL season, as well as joint fourth for the highest score of 96. Dinesh Karthik has the best batting average of the season to date (210.00) and has scored a mammoth fifteen 6’s. We think he would be a great choice for top batsman going into Match 32.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Team Preview

The Sunrisers Hyderabad are coming off a hot streak of four consecutive wins and have certainly turned a corner from the beginning of their campaign. The handed the Punjab Kings a defeat winning by 7 wickets with 7 balls left. The Men in Orange delivered a convincing victory and so far in the IPL 2022 seem to be on a better track than in 2021, where in 14 matches they lost 11.

Skipper Kane Williamson was caught out by Shikhar Dhawan on Williamson’s ninth ball. However, despite Williamson’s early dismissal (3 runs off 9 balls), the Sunrisers were able to get two effective partnerships. Abhishek Sharma and Rahul Tripathi brought some order to the Sunrisers (32 run partnership) however, failed to take it any further. Tripathi had the largest strike rate of 154.55 from his 34 runs from 22 balls. Sharma scored 31 runs from 25 balls for a strike rate of 124.00.

Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram stitched together 75 runs which helped to guide the squad over the winning finishing line. Markram was nine runs shy of a half century from 27 balls not out (strike rate 151.85), while Pooran scored 35 runs from 30 balls not out (strike rate 116.67). Markram is currently 2nd in the IPL table for a batting average of 109.00, below Dinesh Karthik with 210.00.

Turning our attention to the bowling side, we saw a very strong performance all round. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the most economical player with an economy of 5.50. He took three wickets and conceded 22 runs in his four overs. Umran Malik scored a maiden and took four wickets while conceding 28 runs in four overs, which deservedly won him Man of the Match. T. Natarajan took a wicket which has bumped him up to second place in the IPL leaderboard for most wickets (now 12). Jagadeesha Suchith also took a wicket while conceding 28 runs for an economy of 7.00.

The most common market for IPL betting is top batsman and top bowler. If we had to make an IPL prediction for top bowler, it would be Kumar. He is consistently taking wickets and is in-form.
