Twenty matches of the IPL 2022 have come and gone, and we really are not exaggerating when we say that we have been spoiled so far. Every game has been highly entertaining in its own way, and we would be surprised if there was not just as much excitement in this next match which sees the Sunrisers Hyderabad take on the Gujurat Titans. Below is our IPL prediction of who will win the game and claim two all-important points in this year's Indian Premier League.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Team Preview

The Sunrisers Hyderabad were sitting at the foot of the table, but thanks to a much-needed win against the Chennai Super Kings, they are now sitting in 8th place, ahead of CSK and the Mumbai Indians, two of the pre-tournament favourites. This win will boost their confidence and give them hope that they can put on a winning streak and give them a chance of making it to the Play-Offs. For what it is worth, we do not see them being good enough to finish in the top four.

In their match against the CSK, the SRH won the toss and opted to field first, giving them an advantage over their opponents. The CSK managed to score 154/7 from their 20 overs, with Moeen Ali top-scoring with 48 runs from 35 balls. Ambati Rayudu and Ravi Jadeja chipped in with 27 and 23 runs, respectively. The pick of the bowlers for the SRH was Washington Sundar, who collected 2 wickets for just 21 runs from the four overs that he bowled. Thangarusu Natarajan also picked up 2 wickets for 30 runs from his four overs. Overall, it was a really solid bowling performance from the SRH bowling unit.

When you are doing some online cricket betting, one of the more exciting markets that you can put your money on is the Top Bowler market, so who do we think will end up as the best bowler for the SRH against the Gujurat Titans? Well, Sundar has been bowling very well as of late, so we would be tempted to put our money on him to be their top bowler.

With only 154 runs to chase down, the SRH would have been pretty confident of walking away with their first win of the competition, and that is exactly what they did - they won with considerable ease as well. Abhishek Sharma was their best batsman, smashing 75 runs from 50 balls, while Kane Williamson played a more conservative role, scoring 32 from 40 balls. When the first wicket fell with 89 runs on the board, Rahul Tripathi came to the crease and smashed 39 runs off 15 balls. They ended up chasing down the runs that they needed with 14 balls to spare.

Another great market to bet on when it comes to IPL betting is the Top Batsman market. So, who do we feel will be the top scorer for the SRH in this match versus the GT? Well, we would recommend that you think about putting your money on Nicholas Pooran to top score. He has a lot of talent and we have a feeling that he will do well in this match.

Will they make any changes to their playing XI for this match? Well, they have no injury concerns at the moment, so we fully expect to see the same playing XI that beat the CSK.

Gujurat Titans Team Preview

The Gujurat Titans are having a great first season in the IPL - they sit second in the table with three wins from three matches, and they have a pretty decent Net Run Rate of +0.349. We are pretty sure that not many would have had them down to be second in the table at this stage in the competition.

Their last match was against the Punjab Kings, and it was a match that had one of the most exciting endings of any IPL match this season. The GT needed 19 runs off the last over, and Rahul Tewatia smashed 13 runs from 3 balls to see his side over the line.

The GT won the toss and opted to field first - this was no surprise as batting second has been a big advantage so far in this tournament. The PBKS batted well to be fair, scoring 189 runs from their 20 overs - Liam Livingstone put in another great performance, scoring 64 runs from 27 balls. When it comes to their bowling, Rashid Khan was the Top Bowler for the GT, collecting 3 wickets and only conceding 22 runs from the four overs that he bowled. Lockie Ferguson also bowled well, while the likes of Darshan Nalkande and Tewatia were expensive.

All IPL betting sites will allow you to put money on the Top Bowler for a team, and when it comes to betting on the best bowler for the GT, there is only one bowler that we can look at, and that is Khan. The youngster is one of the best spin bowlers around and causes all of the best batsmen a lot of trouble, so it is always wise to back him in such a market.

With 190 needed to win the match, the Gujurat Titans needed someone to put in a special performance, and Shubman Gill provided exactly that - he smashed 96 runs from 59 balls to help his team get off to a flier. When he was finally out, with 18.5 overs on the board, his team still needed 20 runs from 7 balls. The GT lost a wicket in the first over of the the final over but, when all looked lost, Tewatia stepped up and smashed two sixes in a row from the last two balls to keep his team's unbeaten run going.

If you want to make an IPL prediction on the Top Batsman for the GT, then we suggest that you put your money on Hardik Pandya. The captain of the GT is highly talented and has the ability to smash the ball all over the stadium. He has not had any huge innings to date in this year's IPL, but we think that might change in this match.

Do we think that the GT will make any changes to their playing XI for this match? Well, just like with the SRH, we expect to see exactly the same XI take to the field for this game – unless someone falls ill between now and the start of the match.

Toss Prediction

This game will be played at the DY Patil Stadium, and so far in the 2022 IPL, the team that has batted second has had an advantage over the team batting first, no matter what stadium the game is being played at. Thus, our toss prediction for this game is that the captain that wins the toss will opt to field first so that their bowlers can avoid any dewy conditions that might appear.

Pitch Conditions

This has been one of those pitches that has offered something to both the batsmen and the bowlers. At the time of writing this prediction, the average first innings score at this stadium has been 174 runs, so the team that bats first will look to put a score of around 180-190 on the board to give themselves a really good chance of going on to win this match. The team that is batting second will back themselves to chase down near enough any total on this wicket.

Our Match Prediction

So, what is our match prediction today? Well, as usual, we cannot account for the coin toss, but we do not like to sit on the fence, so we are going to pick a team that will go on to win. The side that we predict will win is the Gujurat Titans because they have been playing some really good cricket as of late and are the only team left unbeaten in this competition. Yes, the Sunrisers Hyderabad got a really important win against the Chennai Super Kings, but we cannot see beyond a GT win in this match today.
