Sri Lanka put up a pretty decent fight in the second T20 match against India, but the hosts still went on to win the match quite comfortably. Since this is a three-match series and India have a 2-0 lead, it is over as a contest, but Sri Lanka will want to avoid being whitewashed. Will they be able to achieve that, or will India make it 3-0 on Sunday evening? Keep on reading to see our prediction of who will win.

India Team Preview

India have won 11 T20 games in a row now going into this final game of the series, and this is an impressive record to say the least. They are the favourites by a country mile going into this match and it looks like the India cricket team, is building pretty nicely towards the World Cup later this year.

There has been quite a bit of experimentation so far in the series, and now that the series is in the bag, we could see even more in this third match. We might see a few changes in the bowling department as Deepak Chahar or Ravi Bishnoi might come into the playing XI.

Irrespective of their changes though, India have shown that they are willing to attack during the middle overs and look to do damage in the powerplay through Ishan Kishan. Not all of their moves have paid off, it must be said, but the emergence of Shreyas Iyer in the number three slot is certainly going to give the selectors a headache. With the likes of Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and Sanju Samson in their line-up, India certainly has a strong batting line-up.

If you are thinking about doing some online cricket betting and want to put your money on a top batsman for India, then you surely will not be doing yourself any harm by placing some money on Iyer. He has been in top form this series, and we can see him finishing off the series in fine style.

When it comes to India's bowling attack, Jasprit Bumrah has been world class in the first two matches of the series, but he might be given a rest for the third match. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is still a little bit vulnerable when it comes to death bowling, while Harshal Patel is a work in progress. We think that this is a bowling attack that can be got at by a strong battling lineup. However, from what we have seen in the first two games, it does not look like Sri Lanka has what it takes to take advantage of such weaknesses.

Sri Lanka Team Preview

Sri Lanka put up a decent fight in the second T20I, but that was still not good enough to see them level the series and take it to a decider. Dasun Shanaka and Pathum Nissanka played a great innings each, but many of their teammates let their side down. Charitha Asalanka is on a bit of a poor run of form and cannot take the pressure off of their inexperienced middle order.

If you are heading to some cricket betting sites to place a bet such as the top scorer for Sri Lanka in the third innings, we would suggest that you think about putting your money on Nissanka. He is one of Sri Lanka's best batsmen, and there is a really good chance that he can go on to be the top scorer for his team in this third match.

Also, it must be said that the Sri Lankan bowling unit is really struggling without the talented Wanindu Hasaranga, who is having to sit out of this series as he tested positive a day or two before it started. In his absence, Dushmanth Chameera has shown plenty of skill when bowling with the nee ball, while Lahiru Kumara definitely has the pace to trouble batsmen and pick up wickets.

The rest of their bowling attack, and we do not want to sound rude, is weak and can definitely be attacked. We saw how the Sri Lankan bowling team struggled to defend a pretty decent total in their previous match, and this is not an issue that they are going to be able to address quickly.

If you are looking to try and take advantage of some quality cricket betting odds and want to place money on the Sri Lanka bowler who will pick up the most wickets, then we recommend then we recommend that you go for Kumara as he has been their best bowler in this series.

Toss Prediction

India won the toss in the second match of the series and opted to bowl first. This was probably because dew can sometimes become somewhat of an issue in the second half of a match, so bowling first helps to eliminate this problem. Therefore, when it comes to the coin toss for the third and final match of the series, we reckon that the captain that wins the toss will elect to field first as well.

Pitch and Conditions

The conditions at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala are expected to be very good for cricket. There is not much rain forecast and the pitch should be great for cricket. It should have a nice amount of carry and pace that allows the batsmen to hit the ball through the line, but also provides some assistance to the bowlers as well. The low altitude is great for smashing sixes because the ball seems to travel a little bit more here.

The team that bats first should aim for at least 180, but we really do not think that 200 is too optimistic.

Our Match Prediction

So, what is Today's match prediction? Well, we are going to put our money on India to win this match and wrap up a 3-0 series win. We know that the odds for an India win are not that attractive, but since India are so much better than Sri Lanka, it is not hard to see why the odds are what they are. India has a better batting line-up that Sri Lanka, and a more effective bowling attack.

Our match prediction today: India to win.
