We have arrived at the second and final Test Match in Pakistan’s tour of Bangladesh. Pakistan have gone from strength to strength in this tour and we are days away from finding out if they can make it a clean sweep against Bangladesh.
This is our cricket match prediction for the final Test match. Keep reading to find out who we predict will win.

Bangladesh Team Preview

Bangladesh are yet to win a match, suffering a 3-0 defeat in the T20Is and now having lost the first Test heavily by eight wickets. Skipper Mominul Haque says that even from the first first hour of the first Test they had already lost the game. For the upcoming matches we expect to see Bangladesh bolstering their batting, despite Mushfiqur Rahim and Liton Das managing a 204-run partnership, with Das also accomplishing his maiden Test century. Yasir Ali is rested having sustained a concussion caused by a strike on the helmet by paceman Shaheen Afridi.

Bangladesh's loss spurred Shahid Afridi to speak out against them, noting that they ‘need to do some soul searching’ to not give such ordinary performances. Do you agree with Afridi’s statement?

Pakistan Team Preview

Pakistan are heading into this Test with supreme confidence knowing they have already scooped up 12 World Test Championship points, lifting them to second place in the table. Skipper Babar Azam has expressed his happiness by the performance of all his players. Azam wants to see improvements from Shaheen Afridi and Hasan Ali in consistent bowling particularly to disrupt potentially long batting partnerships.

Abdullah Shafique was praised by Azam for his outstanding cricket, particularly with the bat, especially on his debut. His partnership of 151 runs with Ali was a great contribution. While both batters scored half centuries, Player of the Match Ali will be aiming for a further milestone of scoring a century in the Test having missed out by just nine runs. Ali believes his domestic experience has allowed him to excel so far.

If you enjoy online cricket betting, you will be able to find markets at the best betting sites for cricket for placing wagers on half centuries and centuries in the upcoming Test. Keep an eye out for Ali as this potentially could be a good market to bet on.

Toss Prediction

Bangladesh captain Haque won the toss and decided to bat first. We are expecting to see whichever team who wins the toss to opt for batting first in the second Test. The pitch at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, is relatively slow in nature and while day one provides a reasonably flat track, by days three or four the surface would be expected to deteriorate quickly.

Pitch Conditions

With the temperature expecting to hover around 25 degrees Celsius, and with the match starting at 09:30 IST you would expect favourable conditions for cricket. However, there could be disruptions due to bad weather with heavy showers predicted as the Test progresses. If the forecast remains as predicted, it is likely some disruptions could be expected.

Our Match Prediction

Pakistan have been on top form, and we think they will take another victory in the second and final Test match in their tour of Bangladesh. Bangladesh will have to dig deep. They will need to pull out the stops if they want to have any chance of a victory.
