💯 South Africa v Australia Betting Odds

Before you jump in and do any type of cricket online betting on this game, take some time to check out the betting odds that are being offered for some popular markets.

Match Winner Odds: South Africa vs Australia

Australia have won six matches on the bounce, so it is not that surprising to see that the bookmakers have them as the favourites for this match. South Africa have played some great cricket at this event, so their odds are not too far behind:

Top Batsman Odds: South Africa v Australia

The top batsman market is a very exciting one since you need to select one player from a team that you think will score the most runs. Once you have made your choice, you will be able to cheer every single run that they manage to score. When you take into consideration how the batsmen for South Africa and Australia have been playing at this tournament, it is not a simple pick, but below are three potential candidates.

South Africa:

Top Wicket Taker Odds: South Africa v Australia

If you are uncertain as to which batsman to put your money on, then you might want to consider trying to guess the bowler that will pick up the most wickets when their team is bowling. This market also provides plenty of entertainment value as it allows you to truly live each ball that your chosen player bowlers. There are plenty of top wicket taker options for either team, and my three top picks can be found in the tables below:

🔍 South Africa v Australia Match Winner Prediction

At the start of this competition, I do not think that many cricket punters would have had South Africa down for a spot in the semis, but here they are, and they fully deserve to be where they are. Yes, they might have lost to the Netherlands and got bowled out for 80-odd against India, but they brushed themselves off and waltzed into the knockout stages.

Australia had a poor start to their quest for glory as they lost their opening two matches, including a thrashing at the hands of South Africa, but with long tournaments like this, it is all about how you finish and not how you start. After two defeats, they have won six matches on the trot, winning many of those matches with considerable ease.

Both nations have some excellent batsmen at their disposal, so runs should not be in short supply on Thursday. Quinto de Kock, Heinrich Klassen, and Rassie van der Dussen have been great for the Proteas, while David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, and Glenn Maxwell are all very dangerous when they get their eye in. When it comes to their bowling attacks, South Africa have quality in the form of Marco Jansen, Gerard Coetzee, and Kagiso Rabada, while Australia can turn to Pat Cummin, Adam Zampa, and Mitchell Starc.

I think both of these teams are equal on paper, and the game could end up being decided by the coin toss. The bookies have Australia as the favourites, and I agree with this based on the form that they are currently in. No matter the outcome, it should be a cracking match.

My South Africa v Australia winner prediction: Australia to win!

✔️ South Africa v Australia CWC Betting Tips

If you are going to be betting on this South Africa v Australia game, then have a look at some of the betting tips below:

Match Winner: Australia to Win

These two nations have played a total of 109 ODI games against each other, and South Africa are leading the way with 55 wins to Australia's 50. When it comes to their World Cup head-to-head record, they have played 7 matches, and both have managed 3 wins apiece.

South Africa fans will be worried about their side choking under the pressure, which is a reputation that they have earned from previous World Cup performances. It is this likelihood of choking that is convincing me to put my money on an Aussie win. We all know how the Aussies tend to perform when the pressure is piled on. If Australia bat first and pile up the runs, then it would not be surprising to see a South African collapse.

The Proteas definitely have the skills to beat Australia, but I think the Aussies will come out on top as they are in better form and know how to play while under pressure. If you want to bet on an Australia win, then Spreadex Sports are currently offering odds of 1.72.

South Africa's Top Batsman Winner: Quinton de Kock to Win

This could be the last time that Quinton de Kock features for South Africa in this format as he is retiring at the end of it. If this does turn out to be his last stand, then he can be immensely proud of his efforts at his final tournament. In 9 games, he has picked up 591 runs, averaging 65.67 - he also has 4 centuries to his name. He is in stunning form, and this is why my money is on him to top score.

If you want to put money on De Kock to be South Africa's top scorer, then William Hill have odds of 4.00 on offer.

Australia's Top Batsman Winner: David Warner to Win

David Warner might not have a likeable character, but there can be no doubt as to how good he is with the bat in hand. In 9 games at this World Cup, he has scored a total of 499 runs at a 55.44 average. He loves the big occasions, and this is why I have no issue backing him to make the most runs for the Aussies.

Those who want to back Warner to top score for Australia can find odds of 4.33 at William Hill.

South Africa's Top Wicket Taker: Gerald Coetzee to Win Top Wicket Taker

Gerald Coetzee has shown that he is going to have a big future with the South African cricket team. He has played a total of 7 games at this World Cup, and in these games, he has picked up a total of 18 wickets for an average of 19.39. His pace and delivery variation can cause many issues for top batsman, which is why I expect him to be in the wickets against Australia on Wednesday.

William Hill have odds of 4.33 available to anyone who wants to put money on Coetzee to take the most Australian wickets.

Australia's Top Wicket Taker: Adam Zampa to Win Top Wicket Taker

If you had put a tenner on Adam Zampa to be at the top of the wicket-taking table heading into the semi-finals, you probably would have earned some nice returns. He has been bowling better than I have ever seen him, picking up 22 wickets from 9 games while averaging an impressive 18.91. The stats become even better when we take into consideration that he only got 1 wicket in Australia's first couple of matches.

William Hill are offering odds of 4.00 for anyone who wants to back Zampa to take the most South African wickets.
